Is your life today what you pictured a year ago?
Reflecting on where I stand today compared to a year ago, the stark contrast is nothing short of a plot twist in life’s narrative. Last year, this time, I found myself in the northern reaches of Finland, within the Arctic Circle, braving temperatures plummeting to minus 40 degrees Celsius. I even made a whimsical visit to Santa’s abode in Rovaniemi.
Fast forward to the present, and the scene has dramatically shifted. Instead of the icy landscapes of the Arctic, I now find myself in the heart of the desert, amid the scorching heat of Saudi Arabia, where temperatures soar to plus 40 degrees Celsius in late December. The change is not merely a shift in location; it’s a complete paradigm shift.
The frozen expanse of the Arctic has given way to the endless dunes of the desert. The layers of clothing that once protected against biting cold have been replaced by attire designed to endure the relentless sun. The once snow-covered terrains have transformed into a sea of golden sand stretching as far as the eye can see.
This unexpected journey reflects the unpredictability of life. Plans made a year ago have been rewritten by the hand of circumstance. The spectrum of experiences, from the winter wonderland of Lapland to the arid embrace of the Arabian desert, encapsulates the kaleidoscope of life’s ever-changing landscape. And as the sands of time continue to shift, so do the chapters of this evolving story.
Thank you for reading.
Have a nice day
